This school provides a 5-day course program which allows participants to engage in comprehensive lectures and demonstrations of modern methodological approaches in a laboratory setting. This includes insights into the neurodegenerative animal model, extracellular recording of hippocampal brain slices for long-term potentiation measurement, and the utilization of the Eye Tracking System (ETS) to evaluate eye movement and therefore enhance reading speed.

ABOUT THE SCHOOL

The Associate School on Neuro-Enhancement for Brain Health is held at the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, based in the city of Bangkok in Thailand. This school is a product of a collaboration between the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Institute for Innovative Learning, Mahidol University and the Thai Neuroscience Society (TNS).

This unique educational program coincides with the International Conference on Neuroscience and Brain Health 2024 and the 27th Thai Neuroscience Society Conference (https://thaineuroscience.org). This synchronization provides the participants with the opportunity to attend and benefit from a broad array of cutting-edge neuroscience research within the same time.

Esteemed academic researchers and invited speakers will share their insights into basic and clinical neuroscience, along with advanced research on innovative learning. The participants will have the chance to engage with panel discussions covering research ethics, neurobiology, neurophysiology, neurochemistry, neuropsychopharmacology, clinical neuroscience, as well as translational research in neuro-enhancement.
