General Committees

IBRO Committees are responsible for planning and implementing most of the decisions made by the Organization within the areas defined by their specific mandate. The Committees function largely via e-mail.

In addition, each Committee meets at least once a year, usually at the time of a major regional or international meeting. Since these are indeed active committees, their members should expect to regularly receive information and be asked to participate in exchanges aimed at building consensus, making decisions and assuring accountability.

It is essential that all Committees keep their members, the affiliated organizations and the membership at large well informed about IBRO’s policies and activities and regularly convey to the IBRO Executive Committee the views and needs of the membership they serve.
