Founded in 2003, the Network of European Neuroscience Schools (NENS) connects neuroscience graduate school programmes in Europe, providing a platform for interaction and exchange of best practices.

NENS now represents over 200 graduate neuroscience schools and programmes across 28 European countries and offers a powerful voice for neuroscience graduate education at the European level.

Developed by FENS and IBRO-PERC, the ‘Slots in NENS courses’ programme aims to support European and non-European MSc and PhD neuroscience students to broaden their knowledge and acquire international experience by participating in short courses organised by the NENS schools.

FENS and IBRO-PERC provide stipends for Master and/or PhD students interested in attending the yearly awarded NENS courses.

Through these stipends FENS and IBRO-PERC aim to encourage and promote the international experience of students (students that are currently residing or studying in a NENS selected course are not eligible for a FENS and IBRO-PERC stipend for that specific course).
