Grants and Programs Coordinator

IBRO is looking for a motivated early-career professional with good interpersonal and multitasking skills to take on the role of Grants and Programs Coordinator to implement our global career development programs and international schools. The role is an exciting opportunity for someone who is looking to pursue a career in scientific non-profit administration and with an interest in creating lasting impact to IBRO and its community members.

Your role

As our Grants and Programs Coordinator you will: 

  • Execute IBRO’s global funding programs and provide daily management of IBRO’s annual funding calendar, including 30+ funding cycles from application launch, to grant review and award notification. 
  • Be responsible for day-to-day communication with various stakeholders, including school organizers, members of IBRO’s regional committees and neuroscientists from across the globe. 
  • Develop IBRO’s career tracking initiatives and alumni coordination.

The ideal candidate must be methodical and detail-oriented by nature. The role is ideally suited for individuals who are systematic, proactive, and with a natural inclination for a data-driven and structured approach. As the first point of contact for prospective applicants and awardees, candidates for the position must have excellent communication skills combined with very strong English language skills (fluency in both written and spoken English). A degree in a relevant discipline is an advantage. Occasional travel in connection with IBRO activities should be expected.

IBRO offers a stimulating and supportive work environment within a strong team that is focused on delivering our mission to the global neuroscience community. The secretariat of IBRO consists of six full time staff members that work in a transversal and integrated manner. The Grants and Programs Coordinator will be part of a dedicated team and report directly to the Director of Grants and Programs.

The Grants and Programs Coordinator will be based in the IBRO office in Brussels, Belgium. The position is permanent and full time (38h /week).
