VII Latin American School on Computational Neuroscience

The seventh edition of the Latin American School on Computational Neuroscience – LASCON VII will be held at the NeuroMat Center in the main campus of the University of São Paulo in the city of São Paulo, Brazil. The school will last for four weeks and will cover the following topics: biophysically detailed single neuron models; reduced and simplified single neuron models; networks of biophysical and simplified neuron models; synaptic plasticity and learning; active inference and predictive coding in the brain; spike train analysis; stochastic modeling of ion channels; dynamics of neuronal functional connectivity; variable length memory chains and applications in neuroscience; and computational psychiatry. These models will be illustrated with the use of programs NEURON, neuroConstruct, XPP-AUTO, Matlab, NEST, Brian, and the Virtual Brain. The faculty is composed of an international team of world-renowned researchers in the field of computational neuroscience.
