IBRO-ARC Advanced School on Neuroscience Research in South Africa: Infections, Toxins, and Epilepsy

The week-long advanced neuroscience school will consist of intensive day-to-day and face-to-face interactive program on research design and methodologies in neurosciences, recent advances in environmental neurosciences and experimental modeling (GIS and Laboratory Modeling), and translational applications for clinical and public health benefits with a focus on epilepsy and neuro-infectious disease. The proposed event will leverage ongoing research collaborative initiatives on the African continent to train young neuroscientists to move along the axis basic-translational-implementation sciences. Special modules will focus on ethics, responsible conduct of research, as well as networking and effective scientific communication.
