What is the Neuroscience Capacity Accelerator for Mental Health?

The Neuroscience Capacity Accelerator for Mental Health is an international, collaborative capacity-building program, based on a collaboration between Wellcome and IBRO. The funding program will focus on support for neuroscience research for mental health, with teams to be led by researchers from Low- and Middle-income countries. Applications will open on 10 September 2023, during the IBRO 2023 World Congress. 

How to help us spread the word about the program

Wellcome and IBRO need your help to share the call for applications within your networks. For that, we prepared this toolkit which includes information about the call, IBRO’s and Wellcome’s social media handles, as well as images and suggested texts to be shared on your website, by email, and /or on social media. Title: New funding opportunity: Neuroscience Capacity Accelerator for Mental Health

IBRO and Wellcome are delighted to announce a new upcoming funding opportunity, the Neuroscience Capacity Accelerator for Mental Health! 

This international, collaborative capacity-building program, due to be launched on 10 September 2023, will focus on support for neuroscience research for mental health, with teams to be led by researchers from Low- and Middle- Income Countries. Over a 6-9 month period, grants will serve to facilitate:

  • The development of projects on Anxiety, Depression, and Psychosis
  • The generation of pilot data
  • Networking opportunities
  • Collaboration with Lived Experience advisors
  • Professional development activities

Applications will open on 10 September 2023, during the IBRO 2023 World Congress. More information about the call can be found here.
